Yesterday was the Wisconsin Badgers homecoming game. We decided that downtown Madison was going to be too busy last night, so Mallory and Kirby went to the game and then came back to Sun Prairie to meet me for dinner. There are some great places to eat here, but you can’t beat Eddie’s Ale House for hamburgers. So, that is where we went, and we ended up meeting several of our friends there too. Good food, great friends, a few drinks, and a pool table is my ideal evening.
While we were there, a small group of woman came in for a bachelorette party. We didn’t know any of them, but I decided to introduce myself. I was hoping that the wedding was next Saturday, because on that day Kirby and I will be celebrating 28 years of marriage. Her wedding isn’t until Nov, but I still bought her a drink. I loved hearing her talk about her wedding. She was so excited. It took me back to 1985.
It is really hard for me to believe that 28 years have passed. As I have said before, time has just flown by and I can’t figure out where is goes. I wish it would slow down. But of course, it can’t. I am just thankful for the time we have had and for the gift of my wonderful memories.
Thank you for the gift of life. Thank you for surrounding me with so many great friends and family. And thank you for this beautiful fall day. Life is good.
