Gods garden

I am like a little kid when it comes to so many things. I have a very childlike view of the world and of God.

I love planting seeds, bulbs or roots and watching what grows. I am amazed that I can put them in the ground and with the right amount of water and sunshine, something beautiful grows. It might be a single stem with a simple flower, or a bush with many buds and blooms. They are all different, and they are all beautiful in their own way. How can anyone look at something that beautiful and not see God? What other explanation is there for anything that incredible?

It seems only fitting that God started us with Adam and Eve in a garden. I imagine it was full of the most beautiful and amazing flowers, trees, bushes and vines. I imagine colors that none of us have seen and won’t see until we walk through the gates of heaven. I imagine sitting amongst them some day and getting lost in their beauty and scent. I look forward to enjoying Gods garden.

I hope today you find time to stop and smell the flowers.

Gracious God, creator of all.
Thank you for the beauty I see all around me. Help me to appreciate that beauty that you lay out before us, the beauty in both the flowers and the weeds.
In your name,
Amen
